That’s why people love netbook and why they took off in the first place. For buying netbook, cheaper one, or the smaller one is not necessary the best, so choose carefully according to your needs. To help you, we have compiled a list of 10 best 10-Inch netbooks for you. (Please also check out our previous post about Best 12-Inch Netbooks.) By the way the list is not ordered in quality but these netbooks are one of best netbooks out there.

1. Dell Inspiron Mini 10: Price: $490

Netbooks, everyone is put there. Obviously, Dell could not escape. With its Inspiron Mini 10, the U.S. manufacturer at it again, after a variation of 9 and 12 inches. It is characterized by an Atom Z530 processor (1.6MHz), a memory of 1GB (DDR2 SDRAM), a 160GB hard disk size, WiFi N, Bluetooth, webcam, USB ports, card reader and HDMI output, but it is especially admired for its Weight (3.4 lbs) and Width (10.3 inches).

After the HD screen appeared last month, it was the turn of the 6-cell battery to have a place in the configuration options of the Dell Inspiron Mini 10, so now you have which guarantees a good autonomy(6 hours). When one takes into account the price factor quality, this netbook is good, but it doesn’t attract too many people since it has low video performances compared to others. But this does not prevent professionals from buying it, it’s one of the best netbooks today and its price $490 at Amazon.

2. Toshiba NB305-N440BL: Price: $359

The Toshiba’s successful product in netbook category is a companion PC which offering a smart, comfort-driven design and exclusive convenience features for light, of the go-computing. Good design, 10.1-inch screen boasts a native resolution of 1024 x 600-pixels, sold with Windows 7, it satisfy user’s needs with its width 26.6 cm, its depth 19.2 cm and its weight 1.33Kg (very light).

Good performances with its Intel Atom N450 / 1.66 GHz processor, its 1GB cache memory (technology DDR2 SDRAM – 800 MHz) comes as standard, its  250 GB – Serial ATA-150 hard disk and an Intel GMA 3150 Dynamic Video Memory Technology 4.0 graphic processor. The build quality is generally strong, although there is a little flexing in the screen but we can’t consider that like an inconvenient, and probably the biggest sell of the Toshiba NB305 is the battery life, managing close to eight hours in testing, making this machine recommended for professionals developers and even those looking for an affordable traveling companion and its price is just $359 at Amazon.

3. Acer Aspire AO532h: Price: $274.95

Acer is one of the original darlings of the netbook market, thanks to a comfortable keyboard (since it is composed of 13x13mm keys, 4mm apart, leading to a pretty nice hit). Equipped with the Intel Atom processor at 1.6 GHz and  1GB of RAM it can run any faster. Browse the Web, check email, share photos, keep up with social networks, listen to music and enjoy a wide variety of entertainment with the Aspire AO532h, which features a small compact design that you can take anywhere.

For less than 1kg and more than 7 hours battery, it’s an elegant and powerful machine. One of the major faults  is the touchpad-based movement and the 1024 x 600 screen, have a high-reflective coating which can make it tricky to use in brighter conditions. So in general, this a good machine but it feels a little bit banal competitive today.

4. Asus Eee PC 1005PE: Price: $330

With the Asus 1005PE, the creator of the netbook family honored us with a mini laptop both autonomous and cheap. It was the first to lead the Intel Atom N450 (1.66 GHz). It has also 250 GB of hard drive and a 10 inches screen for a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

Processor with its low consumption and battery of 5600mah (6 cell) Asus present the Super Hybrid Engine technology and also allows you to adjust the energy consumption as required by switching between several modes. So this product is a true revolution. However, it lacks some improvements such as netbooks HD display, it has also only 1 GB of RAM and the price of Asus 1005PE is $330 at Amazon.

MSI U230-040US 12.1-Inch Netbook (Buy it)

MSI U230 is priced at $488. One thing that you will immediately realize about MSI U230 is AMD Athlon processor. Contrary to many other netbook which has Intel Atom, it has 1.6GHz AMD Athlon X2 L335 processor and it features AMD Chipset RS780 + SB710. Dell Inspiron Mini 12 12.1-Inch Netbook (Buy it)

Dell Inspiron Mini 12, although it is a bit expensive netbook, still you might get the performance that money worth. Especially with this price tag, because Dell Mini 12 is normally priced at $899 but right now it is just $550(about $350 discounted). In addition to expensive price tag of Dell Mini 12, there is another thing that I do not like Dell Mini 12 Netbook, it has 3 cell battery which won’t last enough for a netbook. That’s why I did not recommend you to buy this netbook, unless you much care about battery life. Except from cons of Dell Mini 12, it features Intel Atom Z520 1.33 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 40 GB of Hard Drive

For Asus Eee PC 1201N I would strongly recommend you to first check great users reviews out from Amazon. Over 100 people rated 4.5 out of 5. This netbook is very loved and i have to say that it deserves. This netbook features Atom Dual Core processor which increases the performance incredibly. Also, Asus Eee PC 1201N has 2GB or RAM, 250 GB of Hard Drive and more. Asus Eee PC 1201N Netbook has also price tag of $499(Buy it now just for $480). Here is the some technical specs of Asus 1201N.

Asus UL20A is not exactly a netbook but who care what is called netbook or mini notebook, as long as it is small, portable and has long battery life. And i think Asus UL20A offers nearly 7.5 hours battery life which is very good duration of battery life for a notebook. Except from battery life, Asus UL20A features 1.3 GHz Intel SU7300 Core 2 Duo processor -yes not an Atom processor-2GB of RAM which you can upgrade up to 4 GB, 250 GB Hard Disc, 12.1″ WXGA LED LCD Display and Windows 7 Home Premium Operating System. However one interesting thing about Asus UL20A, it has no optical drive just like regular netbooks which helps it to have a price tag of $599. (Buy it now just for $510). Finally the last one; Asus Eee PC 1201PN, the upgraded version of Asus Eee PC 1201N. I do not know why but Asus is one of my favorite netbook brand and Asus Eee PC 1201PN is also one of the best 12-inch netbook out there. I can easily say that it would be the best one in terms of price-performance comparison. Asus 1201PN has Intel Atom N450 1.6Ghz processor and Nvidia ION 2 Graphics platform. Also, it features 1366x768px LED screen, 2GB DD2 RAM and 250 GB Hard Drive. Right now it is priced at $428 on Amazon. (Not $490 do not miss the discount!)

Conclusion

This is all for 12 inch netbooks. They are not same  as 10-inch ones, as you saw they have more power, more performance but contrary to little ones, unfortunately, have less battery life and expensive price tag. And if I would say my favorite 12-inch netbook, I go for Asus Eee PC 1201PN, because this is very new and powerful netbook and also it is discounted to $428 which is very worth buying, I think. I think if you were considering to buy this 11.6″ netbook, go and grab it because this is the price that i have never seen before that much lower. And here is the specs of Lenovo ThinkPad X100E;

One of the best netbooks: Asus EEE PC 1005HA is now $278 instead of $399 on Amazon.(I said one of the best but if you do not mind the processor issue because now there are Intel Atom N450 processor but this one has N280.)
