Netbook VS Phone: Asus Eee Pc 1005PE VS Nokia 5800 Xpress Music
Netbook Comparisons | makyol | January 15, 2010 at 2:08 pmRecently I bought a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. However before i bought it, i thought should i buy a netbook or really acquire this Nokia 5800 phone. Because as you know, you can put nearly $100 more money and buy a good netbook. But I did not and now I thinking about whether i was wrong or not. Let’s together try to make a comparison with a regular netbook and a Nokia 5800 phone. I wanna a take Asus Eee Pc Seashell 1005PE into account as a comparison.
- Asus Eee Pc 1005He is nearly $370, Nokia 5800 is nearly $270.
- Asus has 14 hours battery life, Nokia has nearly 4 hours.
- Of course Asus netbook has bigger screen 10.1″ on the other side, Nokia has 3.2″ screen.
- You can use netbook for the use of calling but you can use Nokia a 5800. (actually, you can use a netbook as a phone thanks to Skype.)
- Asus Eee Pc weighs 1.27 kg but Nokia 5800 weighs 0.11 kg.

Actually, try to compare a netbook a phone was a little weird, but if you are willing to use a phone mostly surfing on internet or checking your mails, like me. You may be confused. As a result, taking using web browser of Nokia 5800′ difficulties while surfing on the net, i can easily say that i made a mistake by buying this Nokia 5800 but still I was thinking about changing my old cell, i relieve myself by thinking this.
So, what do you think? Please feel free to tell me what i miss and if you were me, what did you do?

I agree, the Nokia 5800 is not a very good replacement for a netbook. The iPhone though, I'd consider as a candidate. Try it!
Thanks for the comment Stefan, but i do not think IPhone is a good option for the replacement. I think people should give a few more bucks and buy a netbook if they want mostly surfing on the net and checking the mails everytime they want.
iphone is expensive but it would be the best solution for you… iphone is surfing faster than other phones. Easy applications for your needs.
Serdar, yes you are right about the expensiveness of iPhone:) But if i have enough money to buy it, i still do not spend money on iPhone. Also if someone ask me iPhone or Nokia 5800, i can easily say Nokia, because Nokia is less expensive and at least as good as iPhone except for design and display.
Nice blog here. I love Nokia phones. I just read that Nokia has officially anounced Nokia C6 and the Nokia X5. Those are both TD-SCDMA handsets which only work in China on TD-SCDMA network. The Nokia X5 will offer you a 5-megapixel camera, dual LED flash and video recording, 2.4-inch QVGA display, access to MM-Ovi Store, mobile video, Fetion IM, Mobile Map/Navigation and it will be available in black, white and red in Q2 2010. All the best Ruben White.
