New Linux Edition, Meego v1.0 is ready for netbooks. Recently Linux Foundation is announced that “uber-platform for the next generation of computing devices,” can be installed via USB drive to the netbooks.
Up to now, this linux-based netbook operation system, MeeGo OS has been tested range of Atom-based netbooks; Asus, Dell, Acer and so on. Although, it seems there are no major problems with this OS, still a few problems abour Wi-Fi connection has been reported.
The Meego OS features a 2.6.33 Kernel; modern 2D/3D graphics stack including Kernel Mode Setting, non-root X; universal plug and play; voice and data connectivity with Connman connection manager, Ofono telephony stack and BlueZ Bluetooth; and next-generation file system BTRFS as the default file system.
Although, i do not recommend to try it untill it gets more stable, yet you can download it from here.
