After Apple announced the iPad this question start to goes around. Therefore, I am going to compare netbooks and iPad which is, i think, the bigger size of an iPhone. So, I am now going to talk about a few aspects of these two devices while comparing them. Before no more ado let’s start to compare. Netbook vs iPad???

Price

Netbooks are generally $300 to $500. iPad start with $499.

Battery Life

They are both have almost the same battery life which is 10 hours, despite netbooks have many duration, according to their battery cells.

Disk Space

iPad has three option for disk space ranging from 16GB, 32GB to 64GB. But netbooks have more than that.

Processor

iPad has A4 processor which is not a size of paper:).  However most of the netbooks features Atom Processors.

Screen

iPad has 9.7 inches screen and netbooks have generally 10.1 inches screen.

Operating System

iPad features iPhone OS 3.2 and you can have many operating systems in netbooks ranging from Microsoft’s ones to Linux ones.

USB Ports

iPad has no USB ports but netbooks generally have 3 USB ports.

Keyboard

iPad has no keyboard except a virtual touch – operated one. But i am not sure that it will be more useful. Because you can use that keyboard just when you hold the iPad horizontally.

Weight

As you know most of the netbooks are around the 1.1 kg to 1.6. But iPad is 0.63 kg and which is pretty good for it.

In conclusion, i cannot see anything that make me to choose iPad instead of a good netbook. iPad is more expensive than a regular netbook, it has lower features than netbooks and many other things. By the way, as a side note, iPad will be available two moths later.
