Netbook Market Will Continue To Grow

EE Times wrote about a five high-growth market for ICs and according to the EE Times, netbooks which grew from 2007 are expected to continue to grow at this year and the estimated units will be 20 million in this year. Also, netbook unit shipments will have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31 percent from 2009 through, therefore it will reach 60 million units. The expected revenue from netbooks will have a CAGR of 27 percent during the same time period and reach $16.2 billion in 2013. And here is the five growth areas that are expected to grow highly and netbooks are the top, as you can see.

I guess netbook market will continue to grow, while the economic recession maintain and people will love to use small ultra-portable devices which have also better battery life. What do you think can you share us about your thought about netbooks ?
